Dagenham Shooting
A gunman fired four shots at a house Rusholme Avenue, Dagenham, in what is thought be a drug related incident.
The attack is believed to have taken place between 5am and 6am on Wednesday morning, while the occupants were asleep upstairs.
A police spokesperson said: “We can confirm that we were called by the occupant of the house to a report of criminal damage.”
The spokesperson went on to say: “On arrival at the house holes were discovered in the front door, forensic investigation uncovered bullets.
“It is thought that the attack happened in the early hours of this morning while the residents of the street were asleep.
“At the moment we suspect this shooting is linked to drug gangs and was meant as a warning, fortunately no-one was injured.
“If anyone had been downstairs at the time of the shooting the incident could have been much worse.”

This is just another example of the increasing grip of drugs and gangs on Dagenham.
Attacks involving guns and knives is becoming so commonplace in Dagenham, that law-abiding residents are no longer shocked by such news.
